Coretronic Reality Inc. Collaborates with Qualcomm at Embedded World 2024 to Showcase the Innovative Power of Edge Computing and Generative AI

The rise of generative AI is changing the future of every industry, with edge computing becoming key to implementing AI. Coretronic Reality Inc., a subsidiary of Coretronic Group, will introduce several computing platforms and proprietary AI SOM solutions based on Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.’s processors at the upcoming Embedded World 2024 (Hall 5, Booth 5-147), helping customers achieve various intelligent terminal applications.

The showcased Qualcomm® RB3 Gen 2 Platform, based on the Qualcomm® QCS6490 processor, offers a valuable combination of strong performance and advanced features, including powerful AI processing and computer vision It features an AI-specific accelerator and various sensors, supporting Wi-Fi/GPS/BT, and is suitable for robots, AI for IoT products, such as edge boxes, industrial PCs, and other specific domains. It supports multiple operating systems (Qualcomm® Linux®, Android, Ubuntu), helping to meet the diverse operating system needs of intelligent terminals; meanwhile, its universal pin design provides product flexibility, allowing customers to choose the most suitable SOM module for their application, enabling pin-to-pin easy seamless upgrades for existing products.

展會也將展出無人機SOM 解決方案，包括高性能、 微型化、具能源效率的高通QRB5165處理器，以及使用高通Wi-Fi 6E的長距離通訊模組，通訊距離可長達10公里以上，是全球首款整合高通RB5/QCN9074的商用無人機硬體解決方案。客戶可專注飛控與相關應用軟體，縮短產品開發時間，還可大幅提升AI 運算效率及長距圖傳品質，適合智慧監控、偵蒐及救災等應用。

The exhibition will feature a drone SOM solution, including the high-performance, miniaturized, energy-efficient Qualcomm® QRB5165 processor, and a long-distance communication module using Qualcomm® Wi-Fi 6E, capable of exceeding distances of 10 kilometers. This marks the world's first commercial drone hardware solution integrating the Qualcomm Robotics RB5 and Qualcomm Wi-Fi 6E, allowing customers to focus on flight control and related application software, reducing product development time, significantly improving AI computing efficiency and long-distance image transmission quality, and is suitable for intelligent surveillance, reconnaissance, and disaster relief applications.

另外，CRI多年前便開始佈局Edge AI技術，與高通合作開發基於Snapdragon® XR2 Gen 1平台的AR眼鏡Turnkey；受益於Snapdragon® XR2 Gen 1平台的高運算能力，成功導入AI手勢識別、環境感知以及6DoF空間運算等功能，是一款有完整軟硬系統及多樣AI技術的AR整機方案。在本次展會中也將展示虛實融合的體驗，未來，CRI計劃推出更高算力的產品，以滿足生成式AI在端及私有雲算力迅速增長的需求，推動Edge AI在各領域的普及。

Additionally, Coretronic Reality Inc. has been laying out Edge AI technology for years, developing an AR glasses Turnkey based on the Snapdragon® XR2 Gen 1 platform in cooperation with Qualcomm Technologies; benefiting from the high computing power of the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 1 platform, it successfully introduced AI gesture recognition, environmental perception, and 6DoF spatial computing, offering a complete AR solution with a full software and hardware system and various AI technologies. This exhibition will also present a mixed-reality experience. In the future, Coretronic Reality Inc. plans to launch higher computing power products to meet the rapidly growing needs of generative AI in edge and private cloud computing, promoting the widespread adoption of Edge AI across various fields.
